About Me
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved to talk.
What I had to say depended on how I felt in each passing moment, until I learned what mattered most: impact.
So I started listening, learning and reflecting on the world around me. That led me to earn both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism, from Georgia State University and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, respectively.
I also saw an opportunity to connect directly to the marketing world in NYC through COOP Careers, where I was both a student and later a teacher to those who came after me.
My words and ideas have ended up in newspapers, blogs, creative briefs, virtual classrooms and meetings at entertainment brands in New York City.
Now I know how to build a story and get it to the right audience, and I know the work it takes to go from idea to finished product. Today, that means building the calendars, processes and reporting that keep teams organized and campaigns on track.
Outside of the Marketing World
When I’m feeling social and energetic, I like to take group fitness classes. Right now, I’m into Pilates and kickboxing.
I’m also a huge fan of the arts and part of many different fandoms. My goal is to see Broadway or off-Broadway shows monthly, and I go to an anime convention with friends at least once a year.
I like to wander into museums and galleries and strike up conversations with strangers. What else is there to do in New York? You never know who you’ll meet!
When I want some solitude, I love reading romance novels and manga. I’ve always been a bit envious of musicians, so I’ve taken up piano and am learning the basics.
I’m open to project management and paid social roles in New York. Reach out through the Contact page.
